Grand Strand Band, formed in 1976, has become synonymous with high quality Carolina Beach music. Originally with seven members, they have expanded to nine on stage, including a powerful four piece horn section. While their specialty is Motown and Shag music, their song selection spans favorites of the eighties and seventies retro as well as classic rock. This variety has been particularly successfully at wedding receptions, college parent weekends, or community audiences where ages are mixed and audiences have a diverse musical interests. Regardless of the musical genre, the primary objective of their play list is to insure that all selections are dance-able. Exceptional performances and professionalism on and off the stage has created many unforgettable memories for audiences through the years.
